Do you need assistance for your departure / arrival? We are ready to provide all the assistance services needed for your comfortable trip.

The assistance service is provided 24 hours a day to all people with disabilities and people with reduced mobility who use the Ostrava Airport for access to the check-in process for their flight or access to the route from the airport upon arrival. Assistance is provided at no additional charge.

Requesting assistance

If you need assistance for your arrival or departure, make your request at least 48 hours in advance:

  • To the airline or its agent, ideally when buying a ticket
  • To the travel agency
  • If you wish to notify your need for assistance directly to the Ostrava Airport, this information must be provided at least 24 hours before the departure or arrival time.

Transportation of immobile passengers

Disabled passengers can take their wheelchair up to the plane where they will be placed on a folding chair and taken into the plane and be seated on board. Wheelchairs will be transported in the luggage compartment.

If travelling with an electric wheelchair, it is necessary to inform the airport in advance (through travel agencies or in person). Electric wheelchairs will be taken from passengers already at check-in when it is necessary to disconnect the battery from the wheelchair and prepare it for transportation. During check-in a mechanical wheelchair is lent to the passenger, this is available until boarding the plane.

In the event that a person with reduced mobility is travelling, it is necessary to contact in advance a representative of their airline or tour operator, who will provide the necessary assistance in cooperation with the airport staff.

Parking for immobile passengers

Holders of a ZTP and ZTP/P card can use the reserved parking spaces in car parks P1 and P5 for free for one hour. After the free hour normal prices are valid.
